Engineering Company “2K” makes professional engineering surveys, which are the basis for the development of most effective engineering, technical and economic solutions in design and capital construction. The surveys are conducted to obtain input data on the site. Engineering surveys are an integral part of construction. The data obtained during the surveys are the basis for the development of design documents and are included in the mandatory package of documents necessary for obtaining construction permits. 

Engineering Company “2K” closely cooperates with the Russian Union of Engineers uniting Engineers throughout Russia under one roof. This allows the Company to apply the most advanced solutions and technologies developed by the engineering community of Russia, united under the auspices of the Russian Union of Engineers during the survey. Engineering Company “2K” uses a comprehensive approach to engineering surveys, arranging and carrying out the entire procedure on its own. The approach, which implies the use of a single method, which greatly simplifies the survey, allows to optimize the use of the resources and shorten the time of decision-making and, as a consequence, the timing of exploration. Engineering research is divided into three stages: preparatory, field and field data analysis. At the preparatory stage, an expert group collects all the initial data on the future facility; physical characteristics of the future facility, its technical equipment and functions. Based on the analysis of the input data, tasks are determined and survey groups are formed. Thanks to the cooperation with the Russian Union of Engineers, the Company may engage various kinds of engineers. Survey groups consisting of specialists of the necessary qualifications, work on the site using the most advanced equipment for measurements and calculations. 

Fieldwork assumes: 

1) geodesic surveys to obtain data on the terrain conditions for further development and justification of the project, construction of the facility itself, its operation, liquidation, as well as creation and maintenance of state cadasters and real estate transactions; research conducted to analyze the physical and mechanical properties of soils (they allow for choosing the optimal type of foundation); 

2) hydrological surveys aimed at studying the hydrological and ice conditions of nearby water bodies and groundwaters and the degree of their impact on the facility under construction; 

3) works carried out to obtain data on sources, quantity, quality, as well as on mining and geological design conditions; 

4) environmental surveys made to assess the suitability of the environment for living. Field data are then analyzed in the office of Engineering Company “2K”.

Our experts make topographic maps, geological sections, describe hydrological, climatic and other characteristics of construction sites. Experts make up a probable map of the future facility's interaction with the environment and predict possible changes in the characteristics of the environment. Such forecasts are made on the basis of long-term engineering and scientific research stored in the Knowledge Base of Engineering Company “2K”. All the survey data are subsequently used in the preparation of design documents.
