Working with foreign customers

International business of Engineering Company “2K” is actively developing, which is due to our professional growth and the ability to meet the needs of foreign customers. We have cooperated with EMT Erimtan Mushavirlik Taahkhut Tidjaret A. Sh (Turkey), FSUE GlavUpDK under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, a domestic organization that serves foreign citizens and organizations in Russia, in connection with which it presents its requirements to its counterparties in accordance with international rules and standards and many other companies. 

Cooperation with foreign customers began due to the in-depth study and formation of our own possibilities for applying the rules and recommendations developed by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, as well as the application of EUROCODES, which are some analogues of the Russian building codes, unified and having the status of official European quality standards. The rules and standards for the design, construction, installation and commissioning of facilities are standard contract terms. They are especially created for the regulation of relations between the participants of international investment and construction projects from different countries, with different cultural and business practices of doing business. Foreign customers are well aware of the standards and rules of the EUROCODES and hope that they will find Russian partners who know the content of these documents and are able to apply them in their work. Work on the basis of international documents provides an understanding of the situation with respect to the obligations assumed, construction quality, guarantees and other significant aspects of the activities of all the participants of investment and construction projects, which facilitates convenient and fruitful cooperation. Foreign customers use project financing from international investors or banks such as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Finance Corporation, the Asian Development Bank, and the guarantees of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. These organizations finance investment and construction projects in the event that the contractual framework of the project is based on recommendations. Therefore, a special document has been worked out. The terms of construction contracts are brought in line with the requirements of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which emphasizes the importance of using these documents in their work. Increasing the package of services, we expand the range of activities, actively participating in the delivery of international investment projects. 

Working with international partners makes it necessary to keep track of the current situation and constantly keep abreast of the events including the engineering and construction market trends, changes in the legislation and regulatory framework for the regions where the project is being implemented, investment climate analysis, technical innovations and equipment, materials, innovations in the field of design and engineering. The management of the Company shows an increased interest in the development of the engineering and construction market in Europe and the US, as it is there that the latest technical and technological developments are concentrated, and the most actively growing world economies are located. 

Engineering Company “2K” conducts international market research to always be aware of the advancement of engineering and construction in order to offer our partners and customers relevant service and high quality of project delivery. A new impetus to international cooperation was received in 2009, when Engineering Company “2K” got an opportunity to establish new ties. This allowed us to enter new markets in 60 countries and establish partnerships with major international companies. Thanks to active cooperation with the Russian Union of Engineers, we have an opportunity to take part in international technical forums, representing the local engineering community. Having a vast international experience, Engineering Company “2K” got the right to participate in the construction of Skolkovo innovation center, a major national project, but our projects and counterparts go far beyond Russia. Thanks to our well-established and constantly expanding network, we have the opportunity to attract international partners to the delivery of investment and construction projects in Russia. Many foreign companies would like to invest in our economy, but very often they are stopped by our legislation and unfavorable investment climate. This is not surprising, Investors are usually not prone to unreasonable risk. However, many of these problems are solved, and some are even exaggerated.
