Equipment selection and delivery

Our extensive service portfolio includes selection of equipment to be delivered to production facilities. The need to attract third parties to take up this is not obvious at first glance. As a rule, facility management has a clear idea of all the aspects of its activities, including the required equipment. Nevertheless, practice shows that expertise in this matter is necessary to prevent typical situations that can later cause delays.

The equipment market is saturated to such an extent that for its study it is most expedient to engage experts. The choice out of hundreds of models of the same type of units of the only one that is good for a particular facility requires consideration of many factors, as well as a detailed comparative study of the products on sale. When purchasing equipment, it is not enough only to choose a model, you must also determine the number of units required to equip a facility. This value is determined by a series of calculations - accounting for the area of production facilities, the amount of raw materials, the capacity of its power systems and many other factors affecting performance, based on which, the amount of equipment to be acquired is calculated.

In most cases, production equipment is purchased abroad, which creates certain difficulties. A purchase contract for the required number of units is compiled in two languages, i.e. in Russian and in the language of the country of origin. Transportation and customs clearance are two more things to remember. We may take up all these procedures. When the equipment is delivered on the site, we provide its installation, placement in accordance with the layout, commissioning, start-up and trial operation.

Additionally, we draw up recommendations for use and, if necessary, train the staff. The main danger in equipment imports is the underestimation of the costs of its maintenance. There are cases when the shortage of own specialists in repair of imported equipment or spare parts to it lead to bankruptcy. Another common problem is the downtime of a facility, caused by the remoteness of the manufacturer from the place of equipment operation. The expectation of specialists to make warranty repairs and maintenance of the units can cause significant losses.

Calculations made by Engineering Company “2K” help predict possible risks. Selecting equipment, we consider the conditions under which consumables and spare parts are supplied, minimizing maintenance period and budget. We also arrange staff training sessions for those to repair the equipment supplied by us, ensuring the independence of our customers from the manufacturer.

Thanks to the integrated approach, Engineering Company “2K” carefully selects customized equipment to suit all the facilities requirements, simplify maintenance, and take up production engineering, effectively using the capabilities of the Customer.
