Nondestructive testing laboratory
Nowadays, one of the main methods of structural inspections implies the use of nondestructive testing laboratories to make an in-depth examination of the elements composing a facility and the technologies used for their construction. Usually, subcontractors and research centers equipped with a nondestructive testing laboratory are involved. Such an approach is practical, but it requires a lot of time, contracting and payment control.
Being a leader of the domestic construction market, Engineering Company “2K” has its own nondestructive testing laboratory providing a full range of necessary research. In our laboratory, we use modern research methods including X-ray inspections, ultrasound, capillary and electro-magnetic flaw detection, eddy current analysis, chemical analysis and penetration analysis, acoustic monitoring, optical studies, laser scanning, thermal studies and thermal control, mechanical tests, shock and vibration monitoring.
Our own laboratory as well as the availability of various kinds of equipment enable us to undertake construction control, deeply studying the whole range of construction operations. If necessary, it is possible to re-examine several critical structural elements and sections to ensure the reliability of load-bearing structures. Direct interaction between the laboratory and the project team allows us to quickly make decisions on the facility under study and provide remedial recommendation. Our licensed laboratory fully complies with procedure PB 03-372-00. Its cutting-edge equipment serves to examine all kinds of structural elements: construction materials, structures, seams and joints.
Our NDT lab is equipped with the advanced certified equipment: X-ray controllers, a digital radiography system, radiation monitoring instruments, georadars, geodetic satellite systems, fault detectors, crack detectors, strength and hardness meters, pipeline finders, leak detectors, pile length gauges, layer thickness meters, metal type detectors, thermal imagers and luxmeters, laser meters and optical and electronic theodolites, optical and electronic levels, plane laser systems, thermohygrometers and thermoanemometers, sound level meters, tachometers and manometers, digital microscopes and video endoscopes, scanners, field controllers, pipeline monitoring equipment, chemistry analyzers, oscilloscopes, heat exchange analyzers, gas analyzers, densitometers. It is very efficient to make construction supervision with the help of an own laboratory, as the findings are promptly received by the site office, where recommendations and adjustments are made.
